The same municipality contains Thornbury harbour, orchard country, Craigleith shoreline, a major resort village and protected Escarpment land. Each carries a different planning, servicing and operating file.
Why this site exists
The Town's own Official Plan uses separate schedules for Thornbury-Clarksburg, Lora Bay, Camperdown, Craigleith-Swiss Meadows, Blue Mountain Village and Castle Glen. These places do not share one planning or servicing file.
Large parts of the municipality also sit inside the Niagara Escarpment Plan and Area of Development Control, where the NEC states that most development or changes in land use require its permit. Georgian Bay, the Beaver River and wetland systems add conservation and physical hazard layers.
At building scale, resort condominium, club, village association, rental-management and short-term-accommodation rules can decide how a property is occupied, altered or operated. Municipal service capacity, private wells and septic, roads and snow then determine whether the weekly routine works.
This guide keeps those systems beside the views and recreation. It does not invent prices, rental returns, appreciation or rankings. It names the authority and the evidence that can change a parcel-level decision.
